P5EE is an experimental project to promote the development, deployment, and acceptance of Enterprise Systems written in Perl.
Similar to the J2EE project, Java 2 Enterprise Environment.
P5EE is mostly a loose collection of documentation advice
CPAN is huge, with too many different options for common tasks.
Goal: standardizing CPAN modules and interfaces.
They have a long list of recommended perl modules:

Apparently, they have recently shifted their focus from a single recommended code-base to describing a number of code-bases.
The "Blue" codebase is most fully developed.
Its style guide is worth investigating
