Kitchener-Waterloo Perlmongers

FAQ

When do you meet?

We meet on the third Thursday of the month, unless noted otherwise on our mailing list and on the front page of this site. Meetings go from 7 to 9pm or so.

Where do you meet?

In Kitchener/Waterloo, Ontario; most often at the University of Waterloo; sometimes, at various pubs in the Uptown Waterloo area. Read on for specifics.

Where is Kitchener/Waterloo?

Kitchener and Waterloo, Ontario are twin cities (combined pop. approx. 300,000) located an hour and a bit west of Toronto, Ontario and three hours east of Detroit, Michigan. We're home to the University of Waterloo, RIM, and OpenText, among many other high-tech attractions. Check out here on Mapquest for maps and driving directions.

Where is the Davis Centre on the University of Waterloo Campus? Where do I park / get off the bus?

Davis Centre is on this map at location G-3. The closest legal parking is probably the 'B' lot, which has public parking after 4pm for $3 (coin only). The entrance is on Phillip Street, just after the University Plaza from University Ave.

Another parking map (lot B is on the right-hand centre):

There is a bus stop (#4 and #101 express) right in front of Davis Centre, and the #8 and #12 stop at the entrance of the University.

Where is Davis Centre Room 3323?

From the Ring Road entrance: Go up two flights of stairs from the ground floor. You'll be facing south. Turn around, and head toward the north-most cross corridor. 3323 is toward the western end of the corridor (toward the math building). It's probably a good idea to check one of the many wall maps for an exact location.
